Roy Shakked

Roy_GG_website copyGroove Gravy is a Los Angeles based boutique music production house and record label, founded in 2002 by Roy Shakked.

Roy’s music has been featured in dozens of television shows over the years, including Sex and The City, Nip/Tick, Independent Lens, CSI Miami, and most recently Netflix’s Greenhouse Academy. He has written and produced music for multiple advertisements and trailers with a wide variety of clients – Nissan Motors, IKEA, Universal Pictures, Einstein Brothers Bagels and Toyota to name a few – and has contributed cues and songs to a host of movies including Poseidon, Day Zero and The Devil Wears Prada. Roy spends his days producing records and composing music for his various projects, surrounded by mountains of vintage recording equipment and some very skilled friends who often contribute their talents to make everything sound that much better.

Groove Gravy’s label releases include works by The Bright Wild, Holmes, The Tao of Groove, Shihan, HighEnd, Jazzelicious and others, with an eclectic scope spanning multiple genres.
